SKG-300 Deluxe Yukon Sightseeing Tour
A Family Friendly
Tour
During our 6 hour Deluxe Yukon Sightseeing Tour you will
awed by the scenic beauty of Southeast Alaska and the Yukon, inspired by
the Klondike Gold Rush history, and amazed by the wildlife displays at
Caribou Crossing Museum. Venturing from Skagway's glacially carved
coastline we will drive over the coastal mountain range, through the White
Pass Summit area known as the Tormented Valley.
As we journey through the
Yukon, you will be treated to the sight of majestic mountains and lakes,
the smell of Northern flora, the musical sounds of nature, the touch of
crisp, clean air, and possibly the taste of fresh wild berries (when in
season). Arriving at Emerald Lake, the turnaround point of this scenic
adventure, your tour guide will gladly take your picture overlooking this
beautiful lake (your tour guide is always happy to assist you in capturing
your memories on film).
Next, you will stop in at Caribou Crossing Trading
Post and Museum where you can relax and enjoy a tasty, satisfying lunch,
Yukon style! Once you have finished eating, there will be time to visit
the Wildlife Museum. Here you will be amazed by the quality of the
wildlife exhibits, ranging from Ice Age specimens to animals more recently
introduced into the Yukon. Our next stop will be the Carcross Desert,
located in southwestern Yukon, which is the world's smallest desert. Here
there will be time to take a few pictures and get some sand in your shoes.
Our tour continues on to the shores of crystal clear Bennett Lake. There
you will have an opportunity to take pictures, learn more about the
historic Klondike Gold Rush, and skip a few stones across the lake. Photo
stops and possible wildlife sightings await as we journey back to Skagway.
Once back in Skagway, your tour guide will drop you off in the center of
the Skagway shopping district, or return you to your ship.
THIS TOUR WILL BE CROSSING THE U.S. AND
CANADIAN BORDER, ALL U.S. AND CANADIAN CITIZENS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE IN
THEIR POSSESSION PHOTO I.D. AND PASSPORT. PEOPLE OF ALL OTHER CITIZENSHIPS
ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE PHOTO I.D., PASSPORT, AND VISA (IF REQUIRED) IN THEIR
POSSESSION WHEN CROSSING THE BORDER.
