|

A Family Friendly
Tour

Enjoy a guided day tour with the opportunity to
view Alaska's brown bears in their natural habitat.
Fly 70 miles southwest of Anchorage to the
entrance of Lake Clark Wilderness Preserve, home of the Redoubt Bay Lodge and
incredible bear viewing. An experienced natural history guide will take you by
boat through bear country. Look for bears as they fish for salmon, and don't
forget to watch for other wildlife along the way.
Guests receive a Redoubt Bay
Field Guide that provides interesting facts about bears and a checklist of Flora
and Fauna specific to this region. Relax and enjoy a homemade lunch on the lake
or in the cozy lodge before your return to Anchorage.
Flight Pattern:
Depart from Lake Hood, the world’s busiest floatplane
harbor and fly southwest over Cook Inlet and the western edge of the Kenai
Peninsula to the foothills of the Lake Clark National Park. During the
flight, your pilot will share information on scenic highlights, while
flying low enough to spot Alaska wildlife. You may also fly over Cook
Inlet, spotting for Beluga whales. Your pilot will pick the best route for
the weather conditions and scenic possibilities.
The Alaska Bear Watching Tour in Redoubt
Bay Includes:
Please dress comfortably and in layers; the weather at
Redoubt Bay can be quite different from that of Anchorage. Be prepared for rain
and for taking lots of photos. For safety of weight and balance of the plane,
we will need accurate weights of individuals or of the entire group. Also,
please plan to only take a light day pack with you to Redoubt Bay Lodge
Notes:
This is a very popular trip. Please book in advance so
we can confirm your excursion. It is best to book online giving all your
information including the names and weights of each passenger as we MUST have
this prior to your confirmation.
