You will be guided through the rainforest to historic Indian River, a totem walk along Lover's Lane, or independently enjoy the Sitka National Historical Park at your own pace. The walk will offer topics on traditional edible and medicinal plants, the life cycle and traditional uses of the different species of salmon, and explanations on the rainforest environment. It will lead into the park museum exhibits and the Southeast Alaska Indian Cultural Center.

You will find the thirty minute Tlingit Native Dance Performance is both educational and entertaining, leaving those who attend a lasting impression of the Tlingit people. The performance is held in a building designed after a traditional style Tlingit Clan House. the large structural beams, center fire pit and tiered seating provide an ideal ambience. The performance starts with the smell of burning cedar fire that is lit during the introductions of the first story. The deep sound of the box drum fills the room as the Tlingit dancers enter with beautiful regalia and explains all that is to be seen and heard. The performance consists of one story and three traditional songs.

You can add an additional 45 minute stop at the Alaska Raptor Center to the Above Comprehensive Cultural Tour
