There is no
better way to experience the peace and tranquility of the great northern
wilderness than by horseback riding along the winding trails and open
ridges of the Yukon. Pack your camera... and do not forget the extra film
because your six hour adventure will include a round-trip tour from
Skagway over the White Pass Summit Area to the Emerald Lake Corral in the
Yukon; a guided horseback ride over winding back country trails with
opportunities to scan for wildlife; and break for refreshments and time to
chat with your guide at the Emerald Lake Corral cookhouse.
Traveling from Skagway to the Yukon,
you will see...
1) The beautiful Skagway River Valley, White Pass Summit
area, Tormented Valley, and the crystal clear watershed of the Yukon
River.
2) The majestic lakes and mountains of northwestern
British Columbia and southwestern Yukon Territory.
3) The world's smallest desert, which lies just north of
Carcross in the Yukon.
4) The spectacular colors of Emerald Lake
At the Emerald Lake Trail Camp you
will meet your guide. After After saddling up you will ride over
high country trails; along the way you will be able to scan the sides of
Caribou Mountain, Gray Ridge and the Watson River Valley for sheep, moose,
caribou, black and grizzly bear. Although sightings are not guaranteed,
they are likely.
Continuing through the back country,
we will arrive at the Emerald Lake Corral and head down to the rustic
"cookhouse" to enjoy snacks and a beverage with your tour guides.
After snacks and chatting with your tour guides, you
will head back to Skagway with photos to keep, memories to hold and tales
to tell of this spectacular Yukon experience that you will cherish for a
lifetime.

CANADIAN CITIZENS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE IN THEIR POSSESSION A PASSPORT. PEOPLE OF ALL OTHER CITIZENSHIPS ARE REQUIRED
TO HAVE PHOTO I.D., PASSPORT, AND VISA (IF REQUIRED) IN THEIR
POSSESSION WHEN CROSSING THE BORDER.
